can look spectacular the day after when everything is iced over and glinting in the sun. And actually that kind of weather isn’t all that uncommon this winter. These images don’t even begin to bring it justice but it gives you a little taste of the fleeting silvery landscape.

Karen, your first image makes me want to walk down that road to see where it leads… beautiful!!! 🙂 **
Love the first image!
ditto on the first image – awesome
Lovely, pretty, delicate. The first thing I noticed about the second image were its lollipop trees in the foreground. And the third image – what a cute little fence. Thanks for sharing these Karen. That said, freezing rain and snow. That makes me cold!
I rather like the last one as its unsettle, hence tensioned framing.
(But if I were you, I would have clopped the top, to near the top of the trees = and
made the photo like panorama photo)
lovely and very cold !
Wow, really beautiful grays!!!!! =)
Impressive and freezing scenario 🙂 Great ones 🙂
Spectacular indeed, your images convey the beauty as well as the cold!
AWESOME. i like light into all pictures. Brava!
I can hear the faint tinkling of the ice when the breezes blow. Gorgeous.
They are magical! I am in love with the first one. Wanna walk right there. Thanks for sharing the beauty. 🙂
wow i love these. also the blue grey tone you’ve used for the black.
awesome piccies…
Thanks for the lovely comments everyone! 🙂
Reminds me of home, western Manitoba, where I grew up. There’s something magical about the frost/snow/frozen rain on tree limbs. Great captures of a beautiful spectacle.
I have to agree with most of the comments regarding the first image. Wonderful exposure and extremely atmospheric. I keep praying for snow here though nobody is listening at the moment.
I like these and the tone really makes me feel cold.
How lovely!!!!! So happy making! I can imagine the sun! How thrilling! 🙂
Nicely done, Karen. 🙂
I really love the monochromatic blueness of these images!
I hate the winter, but this post rules!
Beautiful photos Karen, just beautiful.
Love the tonality … the landscapes look almost painted.
These are all gorgeous, Karen, and I love the toning!
Cheers
John
Had never seen before so colourful black and white photos!! Thanks…
I love those photos, very beautiful. Is it at the Rockcliffe park ?
No it’s out near Almonte actually, are you from his area?
No I’m not, I’m from St-Georges de Beauce, Quebec. My brother lives in Ottawa, Orleans, and I visit once a year. I love the Ottawa region !
