These photographs are from a late summer fashion shoot with gorgeous costumes designed and sewn by Vanessa Mayville. These images have been floating around in my mind for few days so I thought I’d post a few.

Fantastic images !
Thank you, Yoshi!
How beautiful, Karen. The subject is a departure but it’s still your style.
Yes, a bit different but it was a fascinating process. Thanks for taking the time to look and comment, Jane. I`m glad you like these.
Fantastic, Karen!
Thank you, Richard. It was a lot of fun, and a learning experience, making these photographs.
It is gorgeous !
Thank you so much, Anik!
There’s a somewhat hypnotic feel to the out of focus image. Interesting series.
I am finding that too – I had posted a different image but my eye kept coming back to that out of focus one.
Thank you.
Beautiful.
Thank you, Trish. I hope all is well with you!
xx
Fabulous
I`m glad you think so. Thank you, Rajat!
Very nice pic 😊😊😇
Thank you, Melek!
Beautiful!
Thanks very much, Pam.
Splendid work!
Thank you, Graham!
Quite nice…how did you shoot these? Just a bit of a camera geek and have always found the underwater aspect interesting
Thank you. The camera is an Olympus Tough, a little point and shoot I can take whitewater canoeing or tripping without too much worry. I found the best way to see the display on the back was to use a scuba mask.
I’d love to get a proper housing for my slr but they are often more expensive than the camera body!
Thanks – yes, I know THAT cost – which is why I asked. Good results from the Olympus.
Gorgeous images, Karen, especially the top one. Adrian
Hi Adrian, thank you!
So lovely and ethereal.
Did you use natural lighting?
Thanks very much, Maggie. Yes, all natural light – it was a lovely sunny day.
I Love this soooo much ! X
I’m glad you do, thank you. : )
Delightful-the movement, light and and gorgeous color!
I had some lovely subjects to work with. Thanks so much, Elena.
Gorgeous …floating images, Karen! I’m glad you shared! 🙂
Hi Marina, thank you! I’m glad you like them. I enjoyed the process of making these images, lots of fun.
So elegant and refined….Love them all.
Thank you, Paula.
So LOVELY! Gorgeous! What camera did you use? 🙂
Hi Gro, thank you. : )
It’s a little point and shoot: an Olympus Tough (Stylus TG-4). I got it to take camping and white water canoeing mostly, but it has been lots of fun to use in water. It does well in low light, too, and is handy when I don’t want to lug around and SLR and all the lenses.
Thank you, Karen! Experiments in water is so fun 🙂 And I know – sometimes an SLR and all the stuff make me fell like a sherpa.. 🙂 I have a deal with swimmers making some photo underwater, but I haven’t got the doing power jet – and have only a plastic bag to my SLR, but I want high resolution – maybe I will rent something.. Have a beautiful day 🙂
Oh, my! Underwater ballerinas!
Interesting images Karen. I’d love to do some underwater photography!
Always excellent!
The feel of these shots is tremendous ~ you’ve fused such passion within water Karen, remarkable results.
I have to agree with what Jane Lurie wrote. Your style is so strong that it binds small fluttering birds to women floating in swimming pools. Amazing.
🙂 Awesome
