Hi Karen – Lovely artwork! I have painted with oils before but what is Conte?
Hi John, thanks for the comment. Conte is a compressed drawing medium made with pigments, clay and some kind of binder. I like using it with thin layers of oil paint.
Lovely texture in the these drawings — very nice!
thank you Mufidah. 🙂
Isn’t mylar fun? I’ve just started to play with it. Nice mix of conte & oil. Great texures.
Hi Elena, yes Mylar is fun.
I find it a really versatile surface for combining painting and drawing which I do often. I’d love to see what you create with it! 🙂
I really like the 2nd one. Really nice drawings.
I envy your talent, beautifullly executed, and imaginative.
Beautiful artwork, Karen. Love the colours, texture and square format.
Thanks very much, Simon! : )
