May I ask, has the middle image been retouched in any way? I would very much like to replicate the sense of desolation you have there in a music video I’m about to make. I really like this work.
The middle image has not been retouched, the ‘smudginess’ comes from tree branches in the foreground blurring through movement. Thanks very much for your interest, I’m glad you like them!
Wow, the one with the powerline towers is wonderful, I love it! While travelling, my eyes are always drawn to them, I love how they “walk” the landscape, I simply find them modern beauties, the jewellery of the landscape, if you like. Your photo gives them full justice!
Fine set, Karen, I like shots from a speeding train; the 2nd is special for me.
For some reason I find the second shot of the towers very alluring and at the same time, ominous. I can’t stop looking at it!
Inspiring, thanks!
Beautiful. The first one reminds me of thundering Buffalo. The second the Nazca lines. Gorgeous.
I love your last image particularly Karen. Superb as ever!
That second image is lovely, just like a drawing!
Only you can do things like this so well…my compliments, I love them.
Exciting contrasts in these ones. So, I like them together.
As much as I love the natural forms, the towers work beautifully!
Wonderful work of art, Karen.
Great photos, Karen. Shapes dissolving, melting away. Such haunting images. The middle one is my favourite: lonely ghosts in a post-apocalyptic world.

Interesting set, Karen…the second one is fascinating, but slightly spooky….and the last one is a nod to Rothko!
Simply stunning, Karen! I really love the texture and movement in the second shot, the sense of impermanence.
Karen I absolutely love your ‘moving’ photos, and I am so glad you keep exploring the technique!
This kind of power-line structure has fascinated me for years. You have finally done them justice—and then some.
Stunning snatches and sketches.
It is unusual
Creative ~ and #2 is wonderful, can feel that experience ~
I’m so behind in visiting and commenting. And so much beauty I’ve been missing!
Particularly love the bottom one..
