An early winter photograph made from a moving car (subtly layered with a similar drive-by image). I didn’t notice the swing at first but it now seems rather fitting for the dizzy ‘merry-go-round’ feel of the image.

Wonderful image, Karen
Hi Harrie, thank you! : )
I love that ghostly swing!
When I noticed it hanging there it really changed the meaning of the photograph for me. I like how subtle it is, too; Ghostly is a good word for it.
Thank you, Ashley.
Like a Zen ink blush drawing.
Very cool serenity but in the same time it’s showing the joyful swing.
Beautiful work Karen !
What a marvelous image. It’s as though it hold memories of summers gone by and all of the people who have daydreamed while on that swing…
The swing….so glad you pointed it out. The swath of horizontal light behind the tree really adds to it. This image really speaks to me, Karen. Thanks.
i almost feel the living presence of trees, hear their spirit whispering. very intriguing.
This one is so fantastic… And the swing – definitely the icing on the cake! A spooky feeling…. Great work!
The effect looks like charcoal and watercolors, beautiful once again Karen
Magical, eerie and beautiful.
A painting:light on magic paper.
Ohhhh, as usual…only you can do this kind of photography ‘just right’, ie with taste, class and style.
I really like how much of a whirlygig the swing makes the image appear, whilst also being a ghostly palimpsest.
You are so correct ~ that swing is a perfect & subtle piece of this photo that makes it magic 🙂 Nice work Karen.
An urban winter fairy tale. Thanks for taking us away!
fairylike !
love how the swing is resting on a ribbon of light…
Our swings are now buried under snow, just wood beams suspending chains that disappear into moon landscape white powder. You’d love it.
This image is just breathtaking.
Wonderful image Karen and I love the movement. The colours are superb!
I love the photo – when I saw the title, I immediately was on that swing, and that’s what it looks like…
Great opening shot for a very sad movie. For some reason I feel sadness when I look at this – fantastic image.
terrific shot…makes me wish i needed an album cover
Very evocative.
