I just love these Karen. I could stare at them for hours. Just as your eye settles on one detail, it spots another and is off again..
Adrian, thank you. Sometimes I think my repetition of exploring subjects might be boring to others but I’m just compelled to keep at it. It’s just process, I suppose.
I’m glad you like them!
The difference a day makes. Lovely.
So true, everything changes with the light. Thanks, Elena. : )
There are many fine photographers on the internet sharing their images of stunning landscapes or beautiful details of nature, but your work is in a category all its own – truly original. With your unique vision, it is almost as though you are reinventing landscape photography. I so enjoy visiting your site and contemplating your breathtaking photos.
Patricia, gosh, thank you very much! It’s very nice to get that sort of feedback. I’m happy you feel that way.
Karen
wonderful Karen
Thank you, Johan.
every day is different when we pause to observe.
Yes, it’s so true. Thank you.
Another very high quality photo-shoot ! Well done and certainly not “boring” – I for one would like to see many more !!
Oh, you probably will see more, Chris! Thank you for your comment. : )
It always is about your light – and shadow. Seriously beautiful work, Karen – K
Thanks, Kathleen. Much appreciated.
For me it’s your framing that makes these so great. You know what to emphasise to make a shot thrilling. Brilliant.
Hey, thank you, Richard. I love that you used the word thrilling! That makes me very happy.
Such a delicate touch you have, Karen.
Thanks, Ashley.
Sublime. (Takes deep breath) And full of peace.
: ) Much thanks, Alessandro.
Very lovely – I could almost see those branches moving with the water. Exploring what you can do with a series is the mark of a mature artist.
Hi Judy, I do tend to be drawn to looking at a subject over and over and enjoy seeing what I can do with it. It’s sort of meditative in a way. Thanks for your comments!
I think it is very meditative. Every photo is thoughtful, not just a photo for a photo’s sake. When I am in my studio I am in another world; it takes a few seconds to rejoin the real world.
Mesmerizing = mind is drifting with it. 🙂
Go with the flow, Yoshizen….
: )
The shades of blue in the last photo are sublime. Nicely captured!
I love blues! Glad you like them, thank you.
Beautiful, Karen…and I do especially enjoy the last one….
Thanks, Scott!
Most welcome.
Very creative approach to capturing patterns, I have only one suggestion work out the light better. Choose better timing of the day to capture these patterns, also it may be good idea to tray some slow shutter speed techniques. Overall I love you work and creative approach to it 😉
Thanks for your comments, Nikolay.
This is actually just a small sample of a subject that has been, and continues to be, explored in all kinds of light and weather. You can see more here: https://drawandshoot.me/category/suface-submerge-reflections-in-water/ – with different lighting.
One of the things that I love about photographing daily, is trying to find a way to work with whatever light is available. I am actually drawn to this sort of diffused light and I’m not sure one light is better than another in this case. Each sort of light offers its own sensibilities and beauty. In any case, this is part of my process of exploring the possibilities within a particular subject.
Superb sensitivity, Keren. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much!
Elegant reflections.
Thanks so much!
These mesmerizing dances comprise a ballet of light.
Thank you, Prospero. They are essentially dances of light and shadow.
A new day, New light to explore … beautiful
Ever changing, yes. Thank you, Emily.
Colours to die for! Love the softness, crispy fading textures.
I love these colours, too, Anette. Thanks very much.
Yes, truly meditative imagery!
