rain is the new snow and warm is the new cold. Truly is doesn’t feel like winter when it’s 10° Celsius and you can walk around without a hat or gloves. Not a trace of snow. December, is this really you? I realize it could all change quickly but winter has been moving in at a snail’s pace.

The gentle change of colours and tones from light to dark in the 2nd photo is very effective Karen
Thanks! 🙂
Yes, I’ve been feeling the same about the weather, we need some cold. And, of course, grey or not, the photos are wonderful.
thanks Elena, I bought my ski pass yesterday so I have my fingers and toes crossed!
I wish it could get cold where I live. Sadly the most I can hope for is some rain and weather below 15 degrees Celsius.
there will likely be days when I was wishing for that kind of weather, but not at the moment! 🙂
Thanks for stopping by.
Love this series. The red grass is really lovely against the yellow – what grass is that one with reddish hue? I am really enjoying the balmy weather as I am not a fan of the cold. As you mention the gloves and hat are my saviours during snow season! Thank you for sharing these.
Hi Marina, the red foliage is actually the stems from leafless bushes which I believe are called dogwoods. The weather is kind of nice but odd!
Love the contrast in colour that you’ve captured. For some white, come out west where the snow is now here to stay!
Thanks Jane! enjoy the snow. 🙂
Nice shots! The fences are awesome (one of my personal favourite subjects). tonal ranges are great and the perspectives very effective. Cheers!
Great shots, really love the first one. I would love to take some pics there!
Thank you! there are some beautiful landscapes around here.
Karen – I nominated you for a Versatile Blogger Award. I have the details on my homepage 🙂
thanks Marina! 🙂
Thats true and sad, this isn’t winter. Nature is changing and this is bad. As i see it there will be only 2 season in the year period not 4.
Yes it’s strange and startling. you might be right.
Superb Karen, a beautiful montage of colour and light and warmth.
Thank you Jack!
Beautifully captured. 🙂

A beautiful set of images.
Love these images. Just beautiful. 🙂
Love the photo’s but wanting snow as well….
Hey Karen – Great photographs and it is just the same here – we were in Scotland a couple of days before Christmas and it was 12 degrees C! We have had no snow and it is warm and wet! Is this global warming starting to hit or is it just a phase of the Sun? Who knows?
Take Care!
