Our city has a river running through it. Two in fact. Today was a beautiful sunny day so I took some time to walk around the river near my home.
I sometimes see people riding their bikes down to the river with fishing lines tucked under their arms. Things get left behind.
Wildlife.

Lovely collection of images Karen. Gorgeous duck and squirrel. Sad fish.
Images 1 & 2: very fall. All those buds nipped by the frost. So much lost potential waiting to be reborn in the spring.
Image 3: Cute. I always take morbid pictures myself when I can find them. In this case, it just LOOKS like a dead fish. This would seem to imply that there’s some fish that will eat a dead-looking fish that is somehow still swimming. π
Image 4: Yeah, lots of that out there. I’ve often pondered a tight macro shot on one of these messes.
Image 5: Fierce color contrasts here. Not to mention balance!
Image 6: Cute awareness. Wish he didn’t blend in quite so well with his background!
Image 7: WOW! What a crowd!
A nice collection of images from your stroll. Love the first two of the branches; the lines and shapes are interesting to say the least. Great work!
thank you!
The two first photos are like from another world. About the third photo i really like the shades and color. Also squirrels are the best.

How nice to have rivers to walk by with all then nature around them. Lovely photos, Karen. I needed the walk there. π
Very beautiful. I loved the first and the last. It would be so good to walk here. Totally agree with Katie. π
That’s a gorgeous duck, looking a bit cold π
