Down by the River

Our city has a river running through it. Two in fact. Today was a beautiful sunny day so I took some time to walk around the river near my home.

I sometimes see people riding their bikes down to the river with fishing lines tucked under their arms. Things get left behind.

Wildlife.

  1. Images 1 & 2: very fall. All those buds nipped by the frost. So much lost potential waiting to be reborn in the spring.
Image 3: Cute. I always take morbid pictures myself when I can find them. In this case, it just LOOKS like a dead fish. This would seem to imply that there’s some fish that will eat a dead-looking fish that is somehow still swimming. πŸ™‚
Image 4: Yeah, lots of that out there. I’ve often pondered a tight macro shot on one of these messes.
Image 5: Fierce color contrasts here. Not to mention balance!
Image 6: Cute awareness. Wish he didn’t blend in quite so well with his background!
Image 7: WOW! What a crowd!

  2. A nice collection of images from your stroll. Love the first two of the branches; the lines and shapes are interesting to say the least. Great work!

  3. Very beautiful. I loved the first and the last. It would be so good to walk here. Totally agree with Katie. πŸ™‚
