Oh! Fantastic! But has someone spray painted that line on the trees?
Yes, they are marked for cutting, I think. : ( We’ve lost most of our ash trees around here the last few years (due to an insect) but these are marked for cutting along a roadside. I’m not sure why, exactly, or what sort of trees they are. Thanks, Ashley.
Oh dear. Why does that remind me of black & white photos of people with yellow stars pinned on their overcoats?

Strangely powerful images for Earth Day.
The red line always is a bit depressing when I see them on trees ~ and these shots are such a strong & creative look and feel that I have when I experience such a scene (although sometimes it is necessary for them to be cut down). Still… Great series Karen.
