There is something about the transitions of the flora this time of year that I find just so lovely. I think it’s the subtle tones and changing forms that I keep coming back to. The possibilities seem endless here in this tiny world.

Karen,
Fourth from the top and first to last are my favourite.
Le Clown
This makes me smile.
Gorgeous!
Thank you, Chillbrook.
Beautiful examples of minimalism.
Thanks, Louis. Much appreciated.
I love these colours
Me too, Karl. Thank you.
I like your depth of focus and how it gives an ethereal feel.
I love working with depth of field. Thanks very much!
Beautiful creation.
I couldn’t figure out why I can’t take picture like you ๐
Now I found the reason why. ๐
You are creating the image less and less information, hence
your photo showing more and more invisible meaning.
In comparison, I’ve been taking picture as a photo-journalist, and before that for botanical reference book, too long = I got used to put as much as possible information in the photo.
It’s hard to change a habit ๐
Yes, I agree with you.
An interesting insight, Yoshizen. I think you are right. Your flora images are beautiful!
Particularly love the last two photos! Beautiful!
Thank you!
Beautiful!
Thanks, Elena.
I’m in love with the little bulbous-nosed goblin with his 2-feathered hat pulled down over his eyes…. ๐
The feathery blue is also enchanting..
Helen, I’m glad I’m not the only one who see these quirky things! ๐
Thank you.
Ah, your “tiny world” is fantastic, Karen, and perfect!
Thanks, Marina. You are very kind. ๐
Oh golly, youโve done it again. Have you ever photographed mud … ? Yes, I think you have and it was just as beautiful as ever … ๐ I love these ๐
Mud? I’m not sure about mud. well maybe…
Thanks very much, Gigi. You are a sweetie! ๐
Karen, your pictures are something in between painting and photography. You found a unique way to express yourself. Thank you for sharing your pleasant gallery.
Well, thank you. That is a very kind comment! It’s a pleasure to share these and I appreciate your coming by.
Karen
Such fine focus, I like the last. For these shots do you bring them inside?
Jim
Thank you, Jim. These are all taken outside, actually.
I think I will do a post about technique as I’ve had many people inquire about taking these macro images…
Oh, that blue of number four…like velvet…just love them as always, Karen..
Thanks, Cath. I love that blue also. It’s hard to find in nature!
So pretty, and nicely done.
I also am captured in the subtle nunances of the season changing, as my poor SD card will attest to. ๐
Thank you, Shez.
I imagine my SD cards relate! ๐
I totally agree, and another visual treat thanks Karen!
Thank you, Emily. I like your comment!
Tiny treasures, Karen…so pretty.
Thanks, Scott.
