I LOVE this!!! Great textures – & the shadows are beautiful!!!! In the second photo the shadow guides your eyes through the whole photo!! Great composition!! 🙂 **
I was thinking they had a rather Asian look also. I was going to add another but these two had that kind of feel, and none of the others worked quite so well. Thank you, Scilla.
Interesting composition. The first shot could almost pass for paw-prints.
Yes, I see what you mean about paw prints. Can your gravatar walk on water? 😉
love love love! This is greenery on water? It’s like textured gift wrap/wall paper. Ohh, and I like your banner at the top 🙂
Thankyou for drawing my attention to the banner which I also love! 🙂
Karen is an artist!
Thank you, ladies. You are too kind! 🙂
The greenery on the water is called duckweed, it looks much like tiny lily pads.
What colorful jelly-fish ! Warning color ?
Could be, Yoshizen. It is a stinging kind of jellyfish.
Almost abstract and very nicely done. Looks like holes in the surface.
Thank you, David.
🙂
Hmm….beautiful as ever. But I must say, not as striking a set as your other sets. Where did you take these?
Amrita, thank you. These were taken on home territory, a little lake in Ottawa.
Maybe not to Amrita’s liking, but equally striking as other sets.
Beauty exists in the small view as much as the large, and these, in their contrast and richness of tones, have been well seen and well made.
Thank so much, Martyn. I appreciate your words.

Hi Xandre,
Thank you, I’m glad you love it! 🙂
like the depth of this K!
Thanks, Al!
Lovely pictures. A nice alternative to reflections on water. The shadows would make a great pattern for a lino print! 🙂
Hi Anne, thank you! Feel free to use them for inspiration.
🙂
You are such an artist Karen .. beautiful… 😀
Helen, thank you. 😀
Love the second especially…evokes Japanese prints, to me.
I was thinking they had a rather Asian look also. I was going to add another but these two had that kind of feel, and none of the others worked quite so well. Thank you, Scilla.
Beautiful, Karen…
Thanks very much, Marina.
geko footprints, snakes dancing, a road through a forest seen from the sky…
very elegant and evocative images – just lovely. 🙂
Love your interpretations, Alessandro! Thank you.
Enigmatic!

Great photos, Karen!
I once did something similar to, but the surface was not quite good. 🙂
Thanks, Nandini.
Great idea to photograph the shadows. Love the texture of the surface.
It’s not at all what I set out to do but you just never know what will present itself. Thank you, Simon.
Lovely photos, Karen. I think the shades of green are beautiful.
It is looking very green around here now! Thanks, Erica.
Wouldn’t normally give these images a second look, but for some reason they have captured my attention. Thanks for sharing!
